WOW has a special place in my heart. I haven’t played for a couple of years now, but it was my first MMO (well technically Runescape was, but I kept getting harassed for being a girl, so it wasn’t as enjoyable as it could have been)
Succulent Pork Ribs Recipe
Requires Level 10, Item Level 20
2x Boar Ribs
1x Hot Spices (2tbsp chili powder, 2tbsp paprika, 1/4tsp black pepper, 1tbsp brown sugar)
Rub the ribs with the spice mix and cook in a slower cooker for 8 hours on low. If you don’t have a slower cooker you can cook them in the oven by putting the ribs on the middle oven rack, roasting for approx. 1 ½ hours at 300 F/150 C, covering them with aluminum foil then roasting for approx. another 1 ½ hours.
The ribs turned out fantastic! Wolfkyn said they tasted exactly what he would have imagined in-game. He enjoyed them just as much as Gortog (his Orc Char) used to.
Alchemy Corner – Hot Apple Cider Recipe
Requires Level 65, Item Level 75
Hot Apple Cider is an alcoholic beverage associated with the Feast of Winter Veil seasonal event.
-Sparkling Apple Cider (I used Somersby Apple Flavoured Cider)
-Holiday Spirits (1oz whiskey)
-Holiday Spices (a pinch of nutmeg, cinnamon and brown sugar)
Add the whiskey to the apple cider, then vigorously stir in the holiday spice mix.
First I must mention when you stir in the holiday spice mix, your cider will foam up, so be prepared for that.
I had a hard time finding regular apple cider, so I bought alcoholic apple cider instead (Somersby Apple Flavoured Cider). I imagine regular would work just as well, but where’s the fun in that. I thought it was very tasty, and it reminded me of when Gortog would get so drunk that he would chase down and attack what he thought were low level critters, which were in fact level “??” to us.
Little factiod: I had a troll named Bakutizuzu, which was my inspiration for my hair and makeup for this post.
